Job Description

The Facility Manager will serve as site ambassador providing general Facilities Management services, including overseeing property management operations, procurement of property supplies, vendor coordination / services, work order management, and bid requests. The FM may also supervise & support personnel responsible for all non-critical building services, data center operational team support services, and pantry/café coffee and condiments inventory control.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage third-party contractors/vendors in operating and maintaining the property
  • Oversee daily work order review
  • Schedule and manage vendor performance of all Preventative and Recurring Maintenance activities
  • Assist in meeting or exceeding Site KPIs
  • Recommend continuous quality improvement practices
  • Provide quality analysis of customer feedback
  • Demonstrate collaboration and teamwork
  • Greet customers, vendors, job applicants, and other visitors
  • Provide guidance or resolution to end-user on data center services
  • Reserve and manage collaborative spaces and conference / meeting / training rooms
  • Utilizing a CMMS to manage vendors, work orders, quote acceptance, and invoice authorization
  • Provide guidance, requests, and basic training to contractors and vendors
  • Maintain working relationships with in-house and local catering companies
  • Provide Shipping & Receiving services
  • Periodic reviews of vendors including audits of services provided
  • Working with operations team to create SOWs for contracted vendors
  • Cultivate and maintain a positive working relationship with client representatives and service providers
  • Coordinate special events in support of client or JLL
  • Assist Facility Management Team with tactical planning
  • Purchasing and Inventory Control: ensure the availability of an adequate operating inventory of tools and supplies
  • Preparing and submitting purchase order requests
  • Verifying the accuracy of deliveries
  • Performing periodic safety and inventory checks of property tools
  • Support compliance with JLL’s minimum audit and compliance standards
  • Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws
  • Recognize danger and safety hazards, complete hazard assessments and propose methods to eliminate them
  • Must complete all required safety trainings
  • Comply with all policies for the safe storage of material and supplies, usage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials
  • Support work order management by utilizing JLL’s Corrigo CMMS system
  • Support facility soft services as needed and directed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of two years of industry experience required either in the corporate environment, third party service provider or as a consultant
  • Excellent customer, computer, managerial, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively organize responsibilities to achieve portfolio goals and objectives
  • Basic knowledge of building systems (mechanical and electrical systems)
  • Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving
  • Experience working with a work order management system (Corrigo or Check Hub)
  • Valid driver's license

Nice to have

  • Managerial experience with at least 1-3 direct reports
  • 3-5 years in Data Center Facilities Management
