University of the Arts London (UAL) is seeking a Facilities Manager to support high-quality service delivery and operations at London College of Communication. As part of the Estates Department, the Facilities Manager will lead a team of Facilities Assistants and manage contracted service partners to maintain a secure and well-maintained campus environment.
Job Responsibility:
Lead a team of Facilities Assistants and manage contracted service partners to maintain a secure and well-maintained campus environment
Implement and manage Facilities Management (FM) service strategies
Oversee daily operations such as cleaning, maintenance, Health & Safety, and minor works projects and refurbishments
Collaborate with the Campus Manager to monitor and report on service partner performance against established service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators and (KPIs), ensuring alignment with organisational goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements:
Proven experience in facilities management and strong team management experience
Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement across multiple fields
Experienced in representing Estates FM service operations at College meetings or similar (Building User Groups, College Health and Safety Committee and Project boards)
Practical experience with using Helpdesk and CAFM software
An IOSH Managing Safely qualification
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
Experienced in undertaking incident management and control duties and escalations
