Job Description:

Facilities Manager for CDSCC, leading a multidisciplinary facilities team supporting NASA's Deep Space Network at CDSCC, overseeing critical infrastructure and engineering operations. This leadership role offers opportunity to interact with staff, customers, and stakeholders at operational and executive levels.

Job Responsibility:

Lead strategic planning and delivery of site-wide facilities services including HVAC, electrical, water, fire protection, and grounds maintenance
Provide expert technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams
Oversee infrastructure projects and upgrades ensuring coordination with internal teams and international partners
Manage budgets and procurement ensuring compliance with CSIRO policies
Foster a collaborative team culture and contribute to senior management
Champion safety and compliance implementing safe systems of work

Requirements:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Industrial Engineering
Demonstrated leadership and managerial experience in an industrial maintenance environment at a senior level
Broad experience in management and customer-focused facilities maintenance and operations
Relevant qualification in Project Management or equivalent experience
Strong history of establishing and working effectively in teams
Proven ability to think strategically and balance long-term planning with short-term operational oversight
Capacity to embrace change management initiatives
Demonstrated experience in ensuring safe working practices and effective environmental management
Australian Citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency
