We are looking for a dedicated Facilities Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of our North American regional offices located in Princeton, New Jersey. In this long-term contract role, you will ensure the facilities are safe, reliable, and fully functional while maintaining cost efficiency. This position requires a proactive individual who can oversee maintenance teams, collaborate with vendors, and uphold compliance with policies and regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the safe and detail-oriented operation of office facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
Manage daily building operations, including maintenance, repairs, housekeeping, groundskeeping, and technical systems
Coordinate effectively with external vendors, contractors, property managers, and internal teams to ensure seamless facility operations
Monitor and enhance facility efficiency, cleanliness, and environmental sustainability while controlling costs
Maintain accurate records for systems data, contracts, expense budgets, project documentation, and regulatory compliance
Ensure all building systems, such as lighting controls, backup power, and other infrastructure, are functioning optimally and meet operational needs
Provide oversight for infrastructure issues, emergency responses, and contingency planning with availability for after-hours support when required
Analyze and resolve complex facilities issues independently while collaborating with senior leadership
Prioritize tasks effectively to manage multiple projects and address technical challenges
Supervise in-house maintenance staff and contracted vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing commercial office buildings or properties
At least 3 years of supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership abilities
Strong problem-solving skills for resolving technical and operational challenges
Calm and confident demeanor in high-pressure situations
Familiarity with CMMS and computerized maintenance management systems
Experience managing conference rooms and Kronos Timekeeping System
Certification in facilities management or similar credentials is preferred
Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and influence senior leadership effectively
