As a Facilities Operations Support specialist, you will work under the guidance of the Corporate Facilities Supervisor, providing essential support to the Facilities Technician in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting. Whether you are assisting with workstation moves, configuring meeting rooms, or performing routine upkeep, your contributions as a Facilities Operations Support worker directly impact the efficiency of the corporate office. You will handle everything from minor repairs to event staging, ensuring a high standard of facility excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Support the Facilities Technician with routine building maintenance and minor repair activities
Assist with workstation moves, furniture setup, meeting room configurations, and general space adjustments
Provide internal and external event support, including room setup, tear-down, and signage placement
Perform basic upkeep tasks such as light bulb replacement, minor paint touch-ups, and filter changes
Conduct regular walkthroughs to identify maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns
Support the facilities work order process by responding to routine service requests
Assist with receiving, staging, and distributing facilities-related deliveries and supplies
Maintain organized storage rooms and support inventory tracking of facilities materials
Provide support during preventative maintenance and building-related emergency response activities
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Service-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team
Basic proficiency with computers, mobile devices, and MS Office
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and remain stable under pressure
Strong time management skills to handle multiple maintenance tasks
High School diploma is required
1-2 years of general maintenance, building support, or facilities-related experience
Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and pushing up to 55 lbs regularly
Commitment to a 3-month temporary assignment in Winnipeg
