Job Description:

Beacon Hill is seeking a hands-on Facilities / Mechanical Maintenance Technician with 2+ years of experience supporting lab, industrial, or manufacturing environments. In this role, you’ll maintain and troubleshoot lab infrastructure including HVAC test systems, pumps, valves, and utilities, ensuring systems remain safe, reliable, and ready for testing.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical systems
  • assist with installation of new lab equipment
  • conduct safety inspections (air, water, refrigerant)
  • maintain accurate service logs
  • work independently in a lab setting while supporting engineering teams by keeping systems operational and compliant with safety and LOTO procedures

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience supporting lab, industrial, or manufacturing environments
  • strong mechanical aptitude
  • ability to read mechanical drawings/P&IDs
  • hands-on tool and diagnostic skills
  • reliable, positive attitude

Nice to have:

  • Experience with HVAC
  • experience with refrigerants
  • experience with compressed systems
  • certifications like EPA 608
  • forklift certification
  • crane certification
