Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician I (contract) to join our team. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and pleasant working environment. The ideal candidate will have basic technical skills, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards
  • Following standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance
  • Assists with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, installation of fixtures, and moving materials within the facility
  • Utilize a work order system to log activities as required in a timely manner

Requirements

  • General understanding of building trades, including basic electric, plumbing, and painting experience
  • Proficiency in the use of tools and equipment used in various building construction and maintenance trades
  • Basic computer skills related to data entry, retrieval, and record-keeping
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and manuals
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Possession of a current valid California Class C driver’s license and dependable transportation

Nice to have

Experience with building management systems (BMS) software for creating, performing, and maintaining work orders is a plus
