Boeing’s Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Services Manager to join our dynamic and collaborative Saint Louis Maintenance team in Hazelwood, MO. This position will lead a diverse team within facilities and maintenance & contracted services. You will lead and manage employees with a variety of specialized craft skills to include electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), Power Distribution Systems and boiler operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead, manage, develop, and motivate employees

  • Maintain/improve service culture and improve the efficiency of the organization
  • Collaborate with multiple business partners, other sites, and Facilities service teams
  • Specific services expected to lead: maintenance teams (self-performing or supplier based), customer interface activities, asset renewal strategy efforts
  • Lead diverse teams, initiatives, and projects to create a significant change in how service delivery is performed with demonstrated improvement to cost and quality
  • Lead conflict management and team collaboration
  • develop talent and hold candid conversations
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, business partners, and direct reports

Requirements

Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role
  • 3+ years of experience working with asset reliability
  • Experience managing the installation, and operation of power distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers and distribution panels
  • Experience developing and implementing maintenance programs to maximize system reliability and minimize downtime
  • Experience leading troubleshooting and fault analysis to quickly resolve power distribution issues
  • Experience ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety standards and Boeing’s quality requirements
  • Experience managing or leading in a union environment
  • Experience with safety regulations and quality standards
  • Self-starter
  • ability to demonstrate competencies in conflict and crisis management, collaboration, process improvement, people development
