Job Description

Amentum is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Electrical Specialist to join our Team in Bowers, CA. The Facilities Maintenance Electrical Specialist’s primary duties are being responsible for supervising and documenting all related technical support, direction, scheduling & delivery, safety & job-related training and audits for Amentum Technicians at the Bowers Foundry location. This is a fast-paced industrial production environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Monitors and/or manages the entry of correct documentation and scheduled maintenance via Maximo
  • Performs reactive/corrective maintenance as it is reported and distributes to available technicians as needed
  • Leads safety program for the Amentum technicians at the worksite and maintains reporting associated with safety activities
  • Audits work performance for safety actions and quality of work, and provide coaching as needed for Amentum technicians at the worksite
  • Maintains effective performance of individual employees and the worksite team
  • Reviews and approves time reporting for Amentum technicians at the worksite
  • Compiles, maintains and presents various reports to Amentum management and client teams
  • Oversight of vendor deliverables
  • Quality Inspections
  • Performance assessments
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Ten years of experience in a technical role related to industrial Production Maintenance and/or industrial Facilities Maintenance or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of supervisory experience in industrial Production Maintenance and/or industrial Facilities Maintenance
  • Ability to work from aerial lifts and scissors lifts from height up to 30ft. and above.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent trade school credentials preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites with emphasis on the ability to navigate and formulate within Excel and Access
  • Experience in a supervisory or subcontract management capacity within a technical industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a leadership position demonstrating the ability to analyze Facilities Maintenance related problems (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Cranes and Hoists, etc.)
  • then recognize and determine solutions (engineered or otherwise) for resolution
  • Experience creating Power Point presentations and giving presentations in front of large audiences
  • Experience with the development and training of a multi-skilled technical workforce
  • Experience creating metrics and data mining for driving performance results
  • Experience utilizing Continuous Improvement disciplines such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, 4 M’s, etc.
