Job Description

The Concord Free Public Library is looking for a full-time Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to work weekdays at the Main Library (129 Main St.) and Fowler Library Branch (1322 Main St.). The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator performs a range of custodial and maintenance duties for two busy public buildings. The Library has contracted services for janitorial cleaning, preventative maintenance of core systems, landscaping, snow removal, and limited part-time custodial support. The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator assists with coordinating these contracted services and supervises other library custodians. Other duties include delivering library materials between locations using a town vehicle, setting up meeting rooms, and performing minor repairs and preventative maintenance work. This position collaborates closely with the Library Director and Facilities Manager to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment. The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator is an essential member of the Library staff. The regular schedule for this position includes Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasional overtime shifts may be available, depending on the Library's needs and budget.
