Job Description:

Peak Nano is in need of an experienced Facilities, Maintenance, and EH&S Director looking to join cutting edge nano technology company experiencing rapid growth and expansion. You will be responsible for directing maintenance of capital equipment exceeding $100M and will oversee a $20M+ facility expansion in the first year on the job. Additionally, you will join the Peak Team expanding Peak's footprint by >200,000 sqft. You will own our essential EH&S program and ensure Peak achieves the highest standards of Safety.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations (OSHA, etc.) and environmental standards (EPA)
  • Oversee equipment preventive maintenance program and ensure maintenance and repair of equipment in all of Peak’s facilities is executed on time.
  • Interface with Peak Nano Films Manufacturing site construction team to ensure facility meets Peak Nano’s needs
  • Drive Peak Nano Optics facility expansion including overseeing contractor selection and work completion
  • Develop and Implement EHS Programs: Create, manage, and oversee the implementation of comprehensive EHS programs aligned with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Perform regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations to identify and mitigate potential hazards within the facility
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
  • Incident Investigation & Reporting: Investigate workplace accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents. Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Employee Training & Education: Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees on topics such as hazard recognition, safe work practices, emergency procedures, and chemical handling.
  • Emergency Preparedness & Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans (e.g., fire, spill, evacuation) and conduct drills to ensure preparedness
  • Environmental Management: Oversee environmental programs, including waste management, pollution prevention, and emissions control

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent engineering experience (specifically in mechanical, electrical, maintenance, robotics, HVAC, electronics, pneumatics, etc.)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in facilities & safety management as well as maintenance oversight
  • EH&S leadership experience
  • Experience overseeing large CapEx equipment deployments
  • ideally high precision equipment
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • US Citizenship
