Job Description

We are recruiting for a Facilities H&S Manager on a full time (40 hours), permanent contract to join our leadership team in the Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 area, supporting our nationwide team. As Facilities H&S Manager, you will take full ownership of health & safety, facilities, cleaning services, contractor management, and service compliance across our factories and school estate.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and implement the Workplace Safety Management System (WSMS)
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation
  • Carry out H&S audits
  • Lead fire safety management
  • Oversee chemical safety
  • Lead incident investigations
  • Develop and maintain risk assessments
  • Oversee maintenance and statutory inspection of buildings
  • Manage planned preventative maintenance
  • Implement Compass Contractor Management
  • Manage service contracts
  • Take overall responsibility for cleaning services
  • Lead and support internal cleaning staff
  • Oversee high-level cleaning contracts
  • Support WSMS implementation in schools
  • Provide expert support to local managers
  • Coordinate and support delivery of training
  • Oversee utilities, waste contractors and site services
  • Produce KPI reports
  • Work collaboratively with various stakeholders

Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ proven experience in a Facilities, Health & Safety, HSE, or Operations Management role within a manufacturing, food, logistics, or operational environment
  • Relevant qualifications in Health & Safety and/or Facilities Management (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, H&S Diploma, Facilities Management qualification, or equivalent)
  • Strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation, contractor control, risk management and facilities compliance
  • Experienced people leader with the ability to manage internal teams and external contractors
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and disciplined, with a strong focus on governance and compliance
  • Confident communicator, able to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Calm, resilient and decisive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and urgent issues simultaneously
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Operations, Production, Logistics, Quality and IT teams
