Job Description:

Supervising the electrical function at the Skegness resort to ensure high service standards, leading a team in maintenance and repair work, managing projects and rotas, and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies as part of the Resorts Management team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the efficient running of the Electrical Function
  • Ensure the highest standard of service is met consistently
  • Lead a team to deliver the best service and ensure team engagement and best practice
  • Support day to day activities of the electrical team including routine maintenance, servicing and repairing of domestic, commercial and electrical equipment
  • Manage project works with both team and subcontractors
  • Plan and operate the rota system including on call systems
  • Be available for call outs if required
  • Manage both internal team and external service providers to ensure full compliance of all H&S polices
  • Oversee all team activities within the department including recruitment, performance, and team development
  • Have regular 121's and PDP discussions to support team development
  • Manage the team during a shift on key tasks and objectives
  • Drive add on sales and promotions and support team to do the same
  • Ensure all stock/proposition is available for guests
  • Monitor consistent delivery of a quality guest experience
  • Ensure any guest feedback is captured
  • Provide accurate rota’s 3 weeks in advance
  • Monitor NPS and take action on guest feedback
  • Coach and develop the team
  • Be a champion of the Butlin’s Values and Leadership Behaviours
  • Ensure a focus on RPRRT in the way we rota team
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the resort and support teams
  • Handle people support of the department including onboarding, PDP’s, performance management, required training, and any formal HR process

Requirements:

  • 18th Edition electrical qualification
  • HVK license
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Ability to prioritise a demanding workload
  • Work on own initiative
  • Sound understanding of how to operate a PC/Microsoft suite
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Confidence in inspiring a team
  • Ability to lead, motivate and engage a team at periods of high demand
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing requirements
  • Previous experience in training and coaching a team
