Job Description

The town of North Andover is seeking a School Buildings Facilities Director. The Facilities Director’s responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all aspects of the Facilities Department for the school buildings, including the management of all school building capital projects, maintenance, and energy management. This role requires close collaboration with the Superintendent, School Building Committees, Procurement department, the Town Facilities Director and outside contractors to ensure a safe, efficient learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in facilities management or engineering; supplemented by seven to 10 years of experience in construction and maintenance of commercial and educational buildings and systems.   • Completes all duties and functions of the hospital Safety Officer
  • Maintains compliance with applicable regulatory agency requirements, including The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), State and Local agencies, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), etc.
  • Manages staff and contractors to adequately to ensure and maintain the efficient and safe operation of all hospital buildings

  • Utilizes energy management and tracking tools in order to maintain efficient utility operations
