Job Description

The Facilities Attendant keeps Sun's workplace in a clean and orderly condition. They maintain inventory and stock items for the various company cafes/kitchens. They receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate team members, assist with the set-up and tear-down of company events and meetings, and maintain the hotel desks. Additionally, Facilities Attendants provide backup support to the Doublewide Café and lobby as needed.

Job Responsibility

  • Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail
  • collects outgoing mail for transfer to post office/delivery services
  • Accepts outside deliveries from logistics companies and ensures deliveries are taken to respective team members
  • Maintains office equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting failures, calling for repairs, and monitoring equipment operation
  • Performs daily general cleaning of all conference rooms, kitchens, and common areas
  • ensures those areas remain presentable and organized, and adequate supply levels are maintained
  • Clean and wipe down hotel desks/offices daily, ensuring they remain presentable for use
  • Ensures workstations/desks are ready for new team members' first day and supplies new hire welcome kit
  • Maintains supplies by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipates requirements, places orders, verifies receipt, stocks items, and delivers supplies to necessary work areas
  • Assists with moving team members when workstation/desk moves are required
  • clears personal belongings and cleans workspaces of individuals no longer with the company
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Submits and tracks building maintenance work orders
  • follows up on progress as needed
  • Assists Events team with the set-up and tear-down of meetings and events
  • Greets customers and guests entering the lobby area
  • answers questions, route them to the appropriate individual(s), and provide exceptional customer service
  • Serves team members by backing up baristas to take and prepare beverage orders while maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards
  • Acts as an ambassador for Sun's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Performs print/copy/mail tasks and projects

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months in prior facilities or office experience
  • Ability to understand and carry-out verbal and written instructions
  • Knowledge of standard methods and practices of janitorial duties
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to follow safety procedures while performing duties
  • Ability to handle sensitive and/or stressful situations with tact, discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to at least lift 50 pounds
  • Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet
  • Demonstrated ability to interact well with others and provide exceptional customer service
  • Must have a valid driver's license
