FCP Euro is excited to welcome a dedicated and dependable Custodian to our Facilities & Maintenance Department. This role plays a vital part in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our employees, teammates and customers. From office spaces to our distribution center, you will help ensure our facility reflects the high standards we hold across our organization. Job Responsibility:

  • Performing routine cleaning of offices, restrooms, breakrooms, locker rooms, hallways and warehouse areas
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces to maintain a healthy workplace
  • Emptying trash and recycling receptacles and ensuring waste areas remain clean and organized
  • Restocking restroom and breakroom supplies such as paper products, soap and cleaning materials
  • Maintaining floors through proper care techniques, including spot cleaning and periodic deep cleaning
  • Monitoring facility conditions and reporting maintenance issues such as leaks, lighting outages, or safety hazards
  • Properly storing, handling and managing janitorial supplies and equipment
  • Comfortably and safely operating cleaning equipment and using cleaning chemicals and solutions, in accordance with manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines
  • Following all safety protocols and cleaning standards under the guidance of the Facilities & Maintenance leadership team
  • Supporting special cleaning projects and seasonal deep-cleaning initiatives as needed
  • Detail-Oriented Execution: Execute tasks with precision and attention to detail, exhibiting reliability, thoroughness, and a commitment to excellence in all endeavors
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, collaborating seamlessly with colleagues and teammates, while also providing clear and concise communication regarding custodial activities
  • Initiative and Autonomy: Take initiative in task completion and exhibit self-directed work ethic, requiring minimal supervision while consistently achieving high-quality results

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in custodial or facility maintenance roles, preferably within a warehouse or distribution center environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring thoroughness and precision in all tasks performed
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain consistent work hours and output, reliably executing assigned duties
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a professional environment
  • Comfortable performing physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending and lifting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of effectively interacting with colleagues, teammates and vendors
  • Energetic self-starter with the ability to take initiative and complete tasks autonomously
  • Openness to new ideas and willingness to collaborate with peers, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment
  • Understanding of and experience working in accordance with health and safety standards and regulations, prioritizing the well-being of employees and visitors
