Job Description

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Facilities Assistant to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Healthcare on a permanent casual basis, contracted to 0 hours per week. As a Facilities Assistant, you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of facility management with the wider facilities team.

Job Responsibility

  • Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Responsible for ensuring the exterior of the site is in a clean, tidy and reasonable state of repair, inclusive of general external maintenance tasks
  • Assisting the facilities team with the control of contractor's process, inclusive of ensuring contractors are signed in correctly, and signed out, and that everyone is adhering to site policies and rules
  • Responsible for opening and/or closing the building where required
  • Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
  • Complying with Health & Safety regulations

  • Oversee preventive maintenance timelines for building systems and equipment, keeping accurate service records and follow-up documentation
  • Complete minor repairs and general maintenance work that do not require a licensed specialist
  • Coordinate with external service providers for more complex repairs, monitor progress, and confirm work is completed to expected standards
  • Work closely with internal staff to plan ahead for larger repair projects and minimize disruptions to daily operations and on-site activities
  • Adjust rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces to support meetings, programs, and special events as needed
  • Monitor fire and security alarm activity, respond appropriately to issues, and help resolve system-related concerns
  • Assist with expense tracking, maintenance reporting, and budget-related documentation using facility systems and ticketing tools
