We are looking for a Facilities Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. This role requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of performing physical tasks while maintaining a positive and attentive demeanor. The ideal candidate will assist with facility-related responsibilities, event setups, and overall office support while working directly under the Workplace Experience Manager.
Job Responsibility:
Restock refrigerators and maintain inventory levels
Perform cleaning tasks such as garbage disposal and kitchen area maintenance
Assist with setting up events, including catering cleanup and related preparations
Handle physical tasks such as moving boxes and unloading/loading dishwashers
Provide mailroom support and ensure timely handling of deliveries
Walk through the office to monitor and maintain cleanliness standards
Interact with clients and ensure a welcoming environment
Support conference room arrangements and facility organization
Collaborate with team members to address reactive needs within the office
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities coordination or a similar role
Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Familiarity with timekeeping systems such as Kronos
Ability to perform physical labor tasks and stand for extended periods
Strong communication skills with a client-facing approach
Attention to detail in appearance and adherence to business casual attire
Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced, reactive environment
Knowledge of conference room setup and general office support practices
