Job Description

Your Assignment: You contribute by ensuring a safe, clean and functional environment and providing comprehensive maintenance service to the building equipment & machines for co-workers, visitors and customers in order to strengthen IKEA's position as the best home furnishing specialist in our local market; You conduct scheduled & reactive inspections on the property listed equipment & systems; You attend and ensure that IKEA store operations are well managed, ensuring that the building services in good operational condition 'In Shape As New'; You follow up scheduled maintenance in accordance to the Maintenance Plan (5 years) to schedule repairs and respond to service calls of the Store; You discuss/evaluate maintenance problem/service calls and agree to service delivery solution to IKEA Store and IKANO service office; You supervise pest control programs so that the building are maintained pest free; You confidently prioritize and manage time efficiently to complete tasks identified by your superior and through one's own initiative; You contribute to the effective operation of IKEA’s Health and Safety policies, procedures and standards.

Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in facilities maintenance work in a retail environment
  • License in Engineering is an advantage
  • Able to work independently and have good communication skills
  • Technical expertise to work and control PC based equipment and must be able to operate and read the system
  • Able to write simple reports

  • Identify, eliminate, and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury, property, or environmental damage using standards, best management practices, and analytical techniques.
  • Communicate HSE needs and results to technician staff, Senior HSE Management, and site leadership.
  • Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive HSSE programs and initiatives that comply with regulatory requirements and promote employee participation and accountability. Examples include hazard assessments, contractor safety, isolation of hazardous energy, chemical management, incident management, emergency procedures, among others.
  • Play a lead role in the continued development and refinement of JLL’s HSE culture and training programs at the site including periodic review and updates to training matrix.
  • Ensure that accidents, injuries, near misses/good catches, and other events are captured, and the data is managed and reported. Manage the OSHA 301/300 recordkeeping requirements for the site.
  • Participate in incident investigation, root-cause analysis, recordkeeping, and follow-up including implementation of effective corrective actions, and prepare communications to share the lessons-learned from such events across account operations.
  • Ensure that appropriate site and business specific programs are implemented, documented and standardized to effectively and efficiently meet KRI’s/SLAs and legal requirements.
  • Conduct and/or participate in HSSE inspections and audits, and support on time closure of corrective actions.
  • Support the HSE Americas team in rolling out new compliance and best management practices programs across the account (and occasionally support JLL-wide HSE activities).
