Job Description:

The University Library is seeking to appoint, on a temporary basis, a Facilities and Circulation Assistant to join the Library Customer Services team. The role involves working weekday evenings (4:00 pm to midnight) at our Walsall campus library as maternity cover. You will be responsible for ensuring that our students, staff and external visitors have safe access to the library study spaces and to provide a basic level of support to all of our library users, ensuring they make the most of the library’s services and facilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensuring safe access to library study spaces for students, staff, and external visitors
  • Providing a basic level of support to all library users
  • Ensuring effective operation of all library circulation activity including print books, journals, and loanable devices
