Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Facebook API Architect to evaluate, redesign, and optimize an existing social media integration architecture within a SaaS platform. This individual will play a critical role in reviewing current implementation decisions, identifying architectural gaps, and implementing scalable, sustainable improvements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct a comprehensive review of an existing Facebook API architecture
  • Identify foundational architectural issues and recommend improvements
  • Redesign and implement scalable, maintainable API integrations
  • Optimize performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability
  • Work closely with internal engineering leadership to guide architectural decisions
  • Ensure proper handling of Facebook Graph API objects and permissions
  • Ensure proper handling of Facebook Marketing / Ads API integrations
  • Ensure proper handling of OAuth flows and token lifecycle management
  • Ensure proper handling of webhooks and event-driven architecture
  • Ensure proper handling of rate limits, error handling, and version changes
  • Provide strategic guidance on best practices for large-scale social platform integrations

Requirements:

  • Extensive, deep hands-on experience with Facebook APIs
  • Facebook Graph API
  • Facebook Marketing / Ads API
  • Experience building or maintaining systems that manage posting across Facebook and other social platforms
  • Experience building or maintaining systems that support advertising, campaign management, and monitoring
  • Experience building or maintaining systems that handle complex API workflows at scale
  • Strong architectural experience within .NET / C# environments
  • Experience evaluating and refactoring existing API architectures
  • Strong understanding of OAuth, webhooks, API versioning, and rate limiting strategies
  • Experience in SaaS or multi-tenant application environments

Nice to have:

  • Experience integrating with additional social media APIs (Instagram, LinkedIn, X, etc.)
  • Some familiarity with PHP (secondary to .NET)
  • Experience working on advertising or marketing technology platforms
  • Prior experience cleaning up or re-architecting legacy API integrations
