Job Description

A specialist fire consultancy is seeking an experienced Facade Consultant with a strong architectural background and proven fire safety experience. This is a strong opportunity for a Facade Consultant who understands external wall systems, façade design, compliance, and the importance of practical fire safety advice across complex buildings.

Job Responsibility

  • Review architectural drawings, façade details, specifications, fire strategies, and external wall construction information
  • Advise on cladding systems, insulation, cavity barriers, fire stopping, materials, buildability, and compliance with relevant UK guidance
  • Prepare technical reports, attend design team meetings, support site inspections, liaise with clients, and work closely with fire engineers, architects, contractors, and developers

Requirements

  • A background in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building Design, or a similar discipline
  • Experience within fire consultancy, façade consultancy, or external wall assessment
  • Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, Approved Document B, and façade fire safety guidance
  • Understanding of cladding, insulation, cavity barriers, fire stopping, and external wall systems
  • Strong report writing, drawing review, and client-facing skills
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software would be beneficial
