Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Entry-level or Associate Fabrication Specialist to join the team based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. Job Responsibility:

  • Performs machine set-up, machining, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks
  • Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks
  • Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components
  • Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains
  • Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products
  • Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products
  • Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests
  • Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation
  • Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements
  • Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements

Requirements:

  • 3+ months of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
  • Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting

Nice to have:

  • 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, and 5-S tools)
  • Experience managing or working with safety, quality, and manufacturing performance data
