Job Description

This is where my hands make life-sustaining products. Responsible for the proper performance and quality of a wide range of metal fabrication operations in the department. Set-up and operate a variety of machines and equipment. Responsible for utilizing people, machines, methods and materials to achieve quality, cost, delivery and safety objectives. Fill in for absences when necessary.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform a wide range of metal fabrication operations, set-up and operate a wide variety of machines and equipment, and troubleshoot problems when necessary
  • Work from schedules and verbal and written instructions to plan work in proper sequence and to train and assist operators
  • Assigns work to individual employees, follow up to insure completion of assigned tasks
  • Instruct and train employees in job procedures, sequence of operations and other phases of work
  • Perform various related duties to assist supervisor in maintaining the flow of work
  • See that all necessary materials are on hand and equipment is in order
  • Responsible for both quality and quantity of work
  • Evaluate defective material, faulty operations, questionable conditions and potential work stoppages
  • Ensure that work area and equipment are maintained in a clean, orderly, and safe condition
  • Responsible for the operation of the department and all routine matters in the supervisor’s absence.

  • Must pass Flex-Force Test and Machine Set-Up Test
  • Must have current, valid driver’s license and pass tow motor physical.
