Plan, coordinate and control the day-to-day operations of Pool Bar within our Luxury Hotel ensuring smooth and successful operations with the highest level of customer service and a favorable projection of the Hotel's superior image. Reporting to the Bars Manager you will be responsible for the efficient operation of this fast-paced luxury hotel. Leading by example with a hands-on approach you will support and develop a team who thrive in a high-pressure environment, whilst ensuring their engagement in the delivery of personalized and attentive customer service.
Job Responsibility:
Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible
Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings
Answer questions on menu selections
Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recook orders, and product availability
Communicate with guests and other employees and ensure staff is working together as a team to ensure optimum service
Exchange information with other employees using electronic devices (e.g., pagers and two-way radios, email)
Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees
and serve as a role model
Support team to reach common goals
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
Serve as a departmental role model or mentor by working alongside employees to perform technical or functional job duties
Listen to hourly employees' suggestions for improving how work is done and how guests are served, gaining management support as needed to act upon suggestions
Collaborate with management to formally recognize hourly employees' performance contributions
Assist management in establishing and communicating goals, performance expectations, timetables and deadlines for shift or departmental operations to hourly employees and ensure that they are understood
Requirements:
Proven ability and experience in motivate, mentor and manage a small team
Specialized knowledge of beverage and beverage procedures, as well as methods used in the management of an F&B outlet, and the production and control thereof
Professional experience of 2 years running an exclusive food and beverage outlet, and experience in implementing procedures and training staff
