Job Description:

Plan, coordinate and control the day-to-day operations of Pool Bar within our Luxury Hotel ensuring smooth and successful operations with the highest level of customer service and a favorable projection of the Hotel's superior image. Reporting to the Bars Manager you will be responsible for the efficient operation of this fast-paced luxury hotel. Leading by example with a hands-on approach you will support and develop a team who thrive in a high-pressure environment, whilst ensuring their engagement in the delivery of personalized and attentive customer service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible
  • Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings
  • Answer questions on menu selections
  • Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recook orders, and product availability
  • Communicate with guests and other employees and ensure staff is working together as a team to ensure optimum service
  • Exchange information with other employees using electronic devices (e.g., pagers and two-way radios, email)
  • Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees
  • and serve as a role model
  • Support team to reach common goals
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • Serve as a departmental role model or mentor by working alongside employees to perform technical or functional job duties
  • Listen to hourly employees' suggestions for improving how work is done and how guests are served, gaining management support as needed to act upon suggestions
  • Collaborate with management to formally recognize hourly employees' performance contributions
  • Assist management in establishing and communicating goals, performance expectations, timetables and deadlines for shift or departmental operations to hourly employees and ensure that they are understood

Requirements:

  • Proven ability and experience in motivate, mentor and manage a small team
  • Specialized knowledge of beverage and beverage procedures, as well as methods used in the management of an F&B outlet, and the production and control thereof
  • Professional experience of 2 years running an exclusive food and beverage outlet, and experience in implementing procedures and training staff
