If so, we have just the opportunity for you… This role is for our Aelia Duty Free store situated in the departure lounge of Belfast International Airport; we are currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic leader to join the team. Not only do you need a passion for retail, but you must also be able to deliver a great customer experience through being resourceful and responsive to the changing needs of the business and team members. The Supervisor is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring a high standard of customer service, and overseeing all the staff. You will assist with staff training, service quality, and ensuring guests have a positive dining experience. You will also step in to manage operations in the absence of the General Manager or Deputy Manager.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer service
  • Manage and supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Ensure food is prepared and presented to high-quality standards
  • Maintain kitchen inventory, order supplies, and manage stock levels to minimize waste
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations
  • Assist in training and mentoring staff to meet service standards
  • Ensure the dining area is clean, organized, and properly set up for service
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally
  • Maintain Brand food quality, quick service and cleanliness standards
  • Maintain HACCP policies for all restaurant activities across shifts
  • Assist in maintaining inventory levels and placing orders when necessary
  • Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance service quality
  • Support the management team with daily tasks, including scheduling and reporting

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or similar role in the hospitality industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, and safety standards
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
