Job Description:

F&B Supervisor - Banquet is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The position provides an enjoyable, expertly served beverage or dining experience for large dinners, receptions and events conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness. F&B Supervisor - Banquet anticipates and services guests needs before being asked and are knowledgeable about all events options.

Job Responsibility:

  • Follow proper payroll and uniform procedures
  • Offer guests an enjoyable, expertly served beverage/dining experience conforming to Four Seasons standards
  • Have superior knowledge and execute efficiently the sequence of service for all events
  • Anticipate and service guest's requirements before request is necessary
  • Serve and clear food and beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner
  • Be familiar with wine and beverage service including stemware and appropriate garnishes
  • Be well versed with all Food and Beverage offerings in the function spaces
  • Train all new employees in accordance with the standard training manual
  • Ensure all opening and closing side work duties assigned are completed
  • Supervise the function rooms in the absence of the manager/assistant manager
  • Handle and resolve all guest concerns and inform management immediately
  • Promote a positive and healthy working environment
  • Inspect all physical aspects of the function spaces and action accordingly
  • Check and ensure that all tables are properly set, tabletop items are clean and polished, chairs are ticked in, and the overall condition of the function spaces is defect free
  • Be vigilant throughout service and ensure efficient service anticipating every guest need
  • Carry trays, bus and reset table with linen, china, glass and silver
  • Change ashtray, serve cigarettes, crumb tables and offer after events drink and cigars
  • Ascertain a guest's satisfaction and handle any problem which may arise
  • Handle a guest walk out
  • Service all needs for any function
  • Report any accident immediately to a manager
  • Recognize and address potential intoxicated disruptive or undesirable guests
  • Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation
  • Move tables and chairs
  • Breakdown any buffets, displays or side stations when needed
  • Clean service area when needed
  • Clean the event spaces and the area surrounding it when needed
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management

Requirements:

  • Poses an affinity for guest service
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge in food and beverage, knowledge in wine will be an advantage
  • Ability to use the Micros Operating System is an advantage
  • Ability to lift up to 60lbs
  • Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write Bahasa Malaysia
  • Able to work a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays as per business demands and needs
  • Must have the right to work in Malaysia
