Job Description:

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences is seeking candidates to join our Commercial team as our F&B Sales Manager. This role will be responsible for business generation as it relates to prospecting, securing, and setting the strategy for all weddings, social, and event business for all Private Dining outlets at our hotel, particularly in Chemin a la Mer and Miss River restaurants. This position will secure and service, through promotion and prospecting, while maintaining standards and revenue. This position will coordinate all requirements for various events groups booked. Ideally, this position will spend approximately 75% of their shift in sales and 25% in servicing. The Food and Beverage Sales Manager is accountable for ensuring quotas and goals are met and ensuring that direct sales activities are focused on generating the maximum revenue per available room for the resort’s overall success. This position requires a high degree of independent judgement and discretion in decision-making.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for enforcing minimum spends and working with event organizer to plan the event
  • Responsible for enforcing the terms of sales letter of agreement and guiding meeting planners through the planning process
  • Communicate the needs and expectations of the client with all departments in the hotel
  • Negotiate with clients through the use of creative and attractive menu presentations and event proposals, to achieve both maximum revenue/profit potential and fulfillment of contractual responsibilities while satisfying client needs
  • Review all function spaces with banquet and restaurant teams to ensure satisfaction of clients at the outset of all events
  • Ability to find solutions to any issues that arise throughout the planning and event process
  • Work closely with restaurant management and culinary teams to create custom menus
  • Create sales packages to drive revenue
  • Accountable for ensuring quotas and goals are met
  • Ensuring that direct sales activities are focused on generating the maximum revenue per available room for the resort’s overall success

Requirements:

  • Must have previous restaurant or catering sales experience
  • Previous restaurant or resort experience required
  • College degree and 2+ years management or supervisory experience in Rooms or Food and Beverage Division, preferably in a luxury setting
  • Strong knowledge of the complexities of selling and competing with other mountain resorts and destinations
  • Ability to utilize computerized operational systems (PowerPoint, Ideas, Excel, Word, Outlook, FO system, Opera, and Salesforce (Golden Sales & Catering))
  • Self-starter, sound analyzer, and problem solver
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills, with a strong sense of quality and a creative mindset
  • Ability to multi-task effectively, managing multiple projects while cognizant of deadlines and priorities
  • Develop and use good business acumen and demonstrate "business operating skills"
  • The ability to be vigilantly attentive to detail, monitor quality, and be obsessively service-oriented
  • The ability to be versatile, flexible, show stress management, manage criticism, and manage conflict effectively
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • The ability to be a public ambassador for Four Seasons Hotels & Residences
  • Fluency in English is required for this location
