Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional welcoming experience to our Guests. Responsibilities will include coordinating Guest reservations and responding to inquiries, reviewing the reservations to organize the best table allocation. You will ensure you develop a complete knowledge of all menu items and daily specials, support the set-up of the room, maintain a station chart and cover count for the restaurant while recognizing capacities of our servers, prepare bills and ascertaining Guests' satisfaction.
Job Responsibility
Coordinating guest reservations and responding to inquiries
Reviewing the reservations to organize the best table allocation
Developing a complete knowledge of all menu items and daily specials
Supporting the set-up of the room, maintain a station chart and cover count for the restaurant while recognizing capacities of our servers
Preparing bills and ascertaining guests' satisfaction
Setting up host/hostess stand, reviewing guest reservation book, and making recommendations as to the set-up of the room
Answering telephones according to Four Seasons standards and taking guest reservations or providing information regarding the restaurant or any other hotel service
Anticipating the needs of guests, responding accordingly to inquiries or problems, and recognizing regular guests by name
Inspecting and maintaining daily menus to ensure quality, condition and appearance
Making sure that all reservations have been linked with Key
Making sure that all guests' F&B preferences are in Golden
Requirements
High school education or equivalent experience
Six to twelve months of restaurant, food and beverage or equivalent experience is required
Previous experience in luxury hotels and/or fine dining restaurants or restaurant groups
International experience would represent an asset
Working knowledge of the restaurant aspect of Four Seasons services, policies or operations and general knowledge of the hotel
Knowledge or the ability to operate computer equipment and the reservations system
Attention to detail, strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, the ability to multi-task with excellent organizational skills, be a team player and bring your personal touch and energy to our guest experiences
Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian and English language
