Aether Aerospace has a contract to provide sustainment services for the VENOM Autonomy Kit (VAK) on six F-16C aircraft at Eglin AFB. The VAK was designed and installed by an Aether Aerospace team. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead and oversee avionics, electrical, and structural maintenance, repair, and inspection activities of the VAK components. The supervisor will direct a team of avionics and structural technicians, ensure adherence to technical standards, and collaborate with local USAF maintenance teams to maintain the aircraft in flying condition. This role requires extensive experience with military aircraft maintenance and a proven background supervising teams performing complex maintenance activities.
Job Responsibility
Supervise and direct a team of aircraft avionics and structural mechanics performing tasks related to maintaining the VENOM Autonomy Kit on six F-16 aircraft
Coordinate daily with program managers, customers, quality control, engineering, and maintenance to ensure smooth execution and problem resolution
Track all maintenance activities and keep daily logs of equipment removals and installations
Coordinate with logistics personnel to track, maintain, and order spare components
Ensure compliance with USAF technical orders, OEM manuals, safety requirements, and maintenance documentation procedures
Promote process improvements to increase efficiency, safety, and quality
Requirements
10+ years of aircraft maintenance experience, including military aircraft
Demonstrated experience supervising teams performing installation and maintenance activities
Direct experience with F‑16 modification programs or other fighters/USAF platforms
Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, technical orders, and OEM manuals
Experience in work planning and cross‑functional collaboration
U.S. citizenship and ability to meet USAF facility access/security requirements
Prior USAF aircraft maintenance experience
Experience supervising teams of mechanics in a military or aerospace environment
Experience coordinating with quality assurance, engineering, and customer representatives
Certifications in safety, equal opportunity, records management, and aircraft systems
