Job Responsibility
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
Support children’s development across communication, language, social, emotional, and early learning skills
Use observation and assessment to monitor progress and inform next steps
Promote positive behaviour, routines, and independence
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and early years staff
Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Support smooth transitions into and within early years provision
Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and development
Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Requirements
Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching within EYFS
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
Creative, patient, and nurturing teaching approach
Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable and committed to a long-term role
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
