Job Description

EYFS Teacher – Full-time, temporary role for the summer term starting ASAP. This school provides a warm, nurturing, and well‑organised early years environment where children benefit from caring adults, consistent routines, and engaging learning experiences. Job Responsibility

  • Teach a Reception or Nursery class full time for the summer term
  • Deliver engaging EYFS lessons using established planning frameworks
  • Support early literacy, numeracy, phonics, and play‑based learning
  • Maintain consistent routines and a positive classroom atmosphere
  • Adapt teaching to meet varied developmental and SEND needs
  • Support pupils' social and emotional development through structured approaches
  • Collaborate with EYFS colleagues to maintain high-quality provision
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong EYFS experience
  • Confident supporting a range of early developmental needs
  • Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and early learning pedagogy
  • Warm, patient, and proactive in supporting young children
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
