We are searching for a Level 2 or 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children during their most important developmental years. Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with children individually or in small groups to enhance their learning
  • Serve as a positive role model for both students and colleagues
  • Foster positive relationships with children and their families
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members, including specialists and EYFS Teachers
  • Assist the class teacher in resource preparation and creative activity setup
  • Help prepare a lesson and tidy the classroom afterwards
  • Provide assistance with EYFS lesson plans and Learning Journeys
  • Support children across all Seven Areas of Learning
  • Give extra support to children with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Help mark work and record student observations
  • Report student progress to the class teacher
  • Help look after the children during school trips and activities
  • Look after children that are unwell
  • Attend meetings and training sessions
  • Confidence in guiding individuals or small groups
  • A positive attitude and effective communication skills

Requirements:

  • TA Qualified (Level 2 or 3)
  • Experience working with young people in an EYFS or Nursery setting
  • Class management skills
  • Comfort managing challenging behaviour
  • Able to engage with and motivate children
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework
