Job Description

An excellent Primary School in Westminster is seeking a school-based EYFS Practitioner to join their Early Years team for an ASAP start. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in nursery or Early Years settings who is looking to transition into, or further develop within, a school environment. In this EYFS Practitioner (School-Based) role, you will support children across Nursery and Reception, helping to create a safe, stimulating and engaging environment where every child can thrive. You will play an active role in both adult-led and child-initiated activities, supporting early communication, language and personal development through structured routines and play-based learning.

Job Responsibility

  • Support children aged 2-5 across Nursery and Reception
  • Deliver and engage pupils in play-based and structured learning activities
  • Support early language, communication and social development
  • Assist with phonics and early reading where appropriate
  • Help maintain a safe, nurturing and well-organised learning environment
  • Observe and support children’s progress and development

Requirements

  • Experience working within an Early Years or nursery setting
  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
  • A caring, patient and proactive approach
  • Ability to engage young children through play and interaction
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
