Job Description

We are looking to recruit a full time Female Early Years Nursery Nurse/Teaching Assistant to join our excellent team of staff.

Job Responsibility

  • To support children aged 2-5 years in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Assist the class teacher/nursery lead in delivering the curriculum and daily care
  • Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment where children can learn and grow
  • Work with small groups / 1:1 / whole class as required
  • support with planning activities
  • monitor children's progress
  • Assist with personal care, snack/lunch times, toileting, and general classroom/nursery routines (as applicable)
  • Support children with additional needs / liaise with relevant staff if needed

Requirements

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Experience of working in an Early Years setting (desirable)
  • Understanding of the EYFS framework and how young children learn
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work as part of a team
  • Patient, nurturing, proactive attitude
  • ability to adapt to children's needs
  • Commitment to safeguarding children and to inclusive practice

Nice to have

Experience of working in an Early Years setting (desirable)
