Requirements

Adequate verbal and written communication skills
Basic math skills
Must be able to operate machinery in compliance with safety standards
Must be able to write or print clearly and record product data as required
Must be able to comply with Company Attendance Policy
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

Job Responsibility

Reads Shop Order and Manufacturing Specification to determine machine set-up, materials required, and quantity to run
Verifies raw materials delivered to the Manufacturing Specification
Set temperature profile on extruder appropriate for material to be run
Select tip and die and install into crosshead positioning to achieve concentricity
Strings up line, adjusting air pressure on dancers to control proper tension on wire
Adjusts extruder ratio and capstan ratio to achieve proper dimensions
Sets sparker to correct voltage
Puts capstan and take-up in proper gear ratio to run efficiently
Set up ink jet printers when required. Inputting and checking print legends
Tests tensile and elongation and make necessary adjustments to wire pre-heat or quench water temperature

Requirements

Demonstrated eagerness to learn and apply new skills, concepts, and applications
Flexible and capable of adapting to change
High School/GED – Technical Certificate or higher preferred
Ability to handle up to fifty (50) pounds with physical dexterity to assemble and operate test equipment
5+ years of experience in manufacturing, plastics processing experience preferred
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain charts, graphs, and production reports

Job Responsibility

Support film extrusion equipment operation and set-up
Troubleshooting
Providing recommendations and implementing solutions to resolve equipment and/or process problems in a timely manner
Application of sound principles to drive improvements in tooling, production, processing, and equipment in a continuous and timely manner
Ensure machines are functional and safe to operate
Report safety problems immediately and operate equipment safely
Write and revise SOPs
Support or own work orders, deviations, and audit observations for equipment activities
Maintain quality on parts being produced and report any quality problems
Perform 5S activities

Job Responsibility

Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure proper functioning and quality output
Set and adjust machine controls according to work orders and material specifications
Prepare raw or semi-finished materials for processing (e.g., loading, positioning, or staging)
Detect and report defects such as bowing, die lines, flatness issues, or off-square products
Use measuring tools (calipers, squares, gauges) to verify accuracy and quality standards
Assist with equipment setup, including preparing dies, tools, or fixtures as required
Safely use lifting equipment or other mechanical assists to move heavy parts or tooling
Follow work instructions and production schedules to meet daily targets
Provide support in other areas of the line, such as packing or material handling, when needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times
