We are seeking an experienced and motivated Extrusion Setter / Operator to join our Plastics Extrusion team. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a critical part in ensuring efficient production, quality outcomes, and safe operations across our extrusion processes. Reporting to the Die Setter Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing tool changes, managing start-ups, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is working Monday - Friday on the afternoon shift - 3:30pm - 12:00am
Job Responsibility
Performing die and tool changes safely and efficiently
Setting up extrusion lines and completing production start-ups
Monitoring product quality and troubleshooting process issues
Supporting Lean Manufacturing, SMED (Single minute exchange of dies), and continuous improvement initiatives
Working closely with production, maintenance, and technical teams to keep operations running smoothly
Requirements
Experience in plastics extrusion or a similar manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
A focus on quality, safety, and teamwork
Good communication and organisational skills
Nice to have
Plastics extrusion qualifications (Level 2 or 3)
