The Expeditor is an entry level position on the Extraction Team in the lab facility of Green Dot Labs. The primary objective is to ensure all material is handled carefully from point of intake, prepped for extraction with care, extraction columns are loaded properly, and the columns are thoroughly cleaned after extraction. The expeditor is also responsible for freezer organization, green waste, and glassware cleaning.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure all material is handled carefully from point of intake
Prep raw flower material for extraction with care
Load extraction columns properly
Thoroughly clean columns after extraction
Responsible for freezer organization, green waste, and glassware cleaning
Adhere to all Expeditor SOPs and protocols
Adopt changes to SOP’s as well as new techniques as directed by Extraction Supervisor
Adhere to all safety guidelines of production and handling of materials in the lab
Follow Research & Development directives
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
Alert the Extraction Supervisor of maintenance issues related to equipment
Proactively notify the Extraction Supervisor when supplies need to be restocked
Perform opening and closing duties including arming/disarming alarm system, reconciling Waste Logs, starting/ending operation specific processes
Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of all lab equipment
Help the Packaging Department, as requested
Unload bulk raw flower, both frozen and dried
Confirm weights on Manifests are correct
Inspect and grade raw flower material based on GDL’s internal quality control standards
Notify Extraction Supervisor if material appears to have pests, pesticide residue, mold or other indications of poor quality prior to accepting material
Label and organize raw flower material in the freezers
Prep raw flower material according to Work Orders
Carefully pack columns in preparation for extraction
Empty and clean columns thoroughly after extraction
Compliantly dispose of green waste
Clean and sanitize used glassware
Confirm and record weights of production runs
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
College experience preferred
Strong desire to work in a lab with extraction equipment and a strong understanding of safety requirements
Prior experience with extraction methods, equipment and/or purging techniques is desirable
Previous experience working in a licensed extraction lab desirable
Must maintain current MED badge
Must have a reliable form of transportation
