An ambitious and fast-growing fire safety consultancy is seeking an experienced External Wall Fire Engineer to join their expanding London team. Job Responsibility
Producing Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEWs) in line with PAS 9980
Reviewing façade systems, cladding materials, cavity barriers and fire stopping details
Providing clear, proportionate and risk-based technical advice to clients and stakeholders
Supporting wider fire engineering and fire strategy projects where required
Liaising with housing providers, developers, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams
Supporting junior team members and contributing towards technical development within the team
Keeping up to date with evolving legislation, guidance and industry best practice
Requirements
Experience delivering FRAEWs and external wall assessments within a consultancy environment
Strong knowledge of PAS 9980, Building Safety Act requirements and UK fire safety legislation
Understanding of cladding systems, cavity barriers, insulation products and façade construction
Experience producing detailed technical reports and communicating findings clearly
A pragmatic and commercially aware approach to problem solving
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Professional membership with IFE, IFSM, RICS or similar desirable
