Job Responsibility

  • Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial reports, disclosures, and regulatory filings
  • Compile, analyze, and reconcile financial data used in external reporting and financial statement preparation
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Research technical accounting matters and assist with the implementation of new accounting standards
  • Prepare supporting schedules, documentation, and analyses for financial reporting and accounting matters
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting procedures
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors to support audits and reporting deadlines
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with special projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience, preferably within audit or assurance
  • CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Experience working with financial statements, reporting packages, and/or SEC filings preferred
  • Background with a national or regional public accounting firm highly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting and financial reporting systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Assist with periodic filings with the SEC and other external reports, including financial statement preparation, related footnotes, management discussion and analysis, and other applicable reporting obligations
  • Monitor developments at SEC and FASB for potential impacts on accounting or disclosure, communicate potential impacts to the business, and support any related system developments or process improvements
  • Support the SEC reporting process to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statement footnote disclosures and assist in maintaining effective internal controls over financial reporting
  • Develop and maintain relationships across functions, including business operations, general accounting, tax, treasury, legal and HR to ensure timely communication and review of reporting matters
  • Work with external auditors on reviews of SEC filings and disclosures, responding to audit inquiries and providing supporting documentation as needed
  • Perform special projects or tasks, including technical accounting research and analysis in support of the broader team
