We're looking for a strategic, hands-on external communications lead to drive Lovable's European media relations, public affairs engagements, and employer brand. You'll shape how Lovable shows up in Sweden and across Europe — from media relations to policy engagement to talent attraction — while helping establish our voice as a global leader in democratizing software creation. This is a high-growth, high-impact role based in our Stockholm headquarters.
Job Responsibility:
Own European media relations: Develop and execute Lovable's European media strategy — journalist relationships, proactive pitching, and reactive opportunities
Support public affairs and policy engagement: Help position Lovable and our executives in AI policy conversations, supporting presence at forums like Davos, government engagements, and thought leadership on democratizing software creation
Lead employer brand for talent attraction: Drive external communications that reinforce Lovable as a destination for world-class talent, particularly technical hires in Europe — from content strategy to media placement to awards
Develop and support executive spokespeople: Prepare executives for European media opportunities and speaking engagements, including message development, media training, and briefings
Manage our European events presence: Identify and execute strategic speaking opportunities and events that advance Lovable's visibility and credibility with European audiences
Shape our communications foundations: As an early member of the comms team, help establish the frameworks, processes, and ways of working that will scale with Lovable's growth
Requirements:
External comms experience in hypergrowth tech: 5+ years building and executing external communications at fast-growing technology companies (B2B or B2C SaaS preferred), ideally with experience building new programs while staying hands-on
Public affairs and policy fluency: Experience engaging with policymakers, government stakeholders, or multilateral organizations (e.g., WEF, EU institutions)
comfort positioning executives in AI policy conversations
European communications expertise: Strong relationships with European tech and business media (including new media), with a track record of securing meaningful, on-message coverage
experience with issues management a plus
Executive partnership and preparation: Track record of advising and coaching spokespeople for media interviews, speaking engagements, and high-profile public moments
Employer brand instincts: Understanding of how external communications drives talent attraction
bonus points for direct experience developing narratives that resonate with technical audiences
Extreme ownership with keen attention to detail: You take full accountability for outcomes, sweat the small stuff, and catch what others miss
Comfort with ambiguity and speed: You're energized (not drained) by fast-moving environments where priorities shift and you're building the plane while flying it
Nice to have:
Experience with issues management
Direct experience developing narratives that resonate with technical audiences
