Strong 3D design capability
Deep understanding of engineering requirements
Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
Ability to design parts independently using 3DX CAD
Ability to apply GD&T principles and perform dimensional variation analysis
Ability to conduct system and component-level design
Ability to design to meet Voice of Customer, regulatory, functional, quality, DFA, DFS, packaging, and clearance requirements
Ability to utilize validation methods including CAE, physical testing, and analytical techniques
Ability to assess tooling, manufacturing, supplier sub-assembly, and vehicle assembly feasibility
Ability to evaluate surface feasibility, fit & finish, and craftsmanship

Job Responsibility

Create and develop components using 3DX CAD
Apply GD&T principles and perform dimensional variation analysis
Conduct system and component-level design
Design to meet Voice of Customer, regulatory, functional, quality, DFA, DFS, packaging, and clearance requirements
Utilize validation methods including CAE, physical testing, and analytical techniques
Assess tooling, manufacturing, supplier sub-assembly, and vehicle assembly feasibility
Evaluate surface feasibility, fit & finish, and craftsmanship
Perform interface and assembly feasibility studies
Maintain comprehensive design documentation and quality history
Support technical reviews using DFMEA, DVPR, SCCAF, PFMEA, Control Plans, Robustness Checklists, Demonstration Matrices, Boundary Diagrams, Interface Matrices, and P-Diagrams
