Job Responsibility

  • Receive sea freight bookings, register orders in EDOC and arrange shipments of LCL
  • Take booking requests ensuring bookings are made at current and profitable rates
  • Keep all stakeholders (internal/external) abreast of bookings and shipment status
  • Follow up suppliers with regards to payments of invoices
  • Providing customer advice on all aspects of shipping goods overseas including packing dimensions, weights and the export procedures in accordance with company operation procedures
  • Identify optimal solutions for customer and shipment problems and issues that arise
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement efficiencies that will contribute to increased productivity
  • Take accountability for your role – expectations, goal setting, workload commitments, seeking and providing feedback and development, sharing your knowledge with others
  • Share positive customer experiences with the team
  • Take action to drive healthy and safe work practices throughout the business.
