Job Description:

We are currently looking for three Export Control and Know Your Customer (KYC) Specialists to join our Legal & Compliance team in Copenhagen. We are a team with diverse profiles working globally to ensure Satair's export business remains compliant with National, European, and US export control laws, sanctions & embargoes, and Airbus directives. In this exciting role you will leverage your experience in Legal & Compliance affairs, particularly with U.S. regulations, European laws & Airbus policies to make a meaningful impact on our global operations. We value proactive thinkers who can make decisive recommendations and ensure compliance with national and international regulations. Work with a global team of six Know Your Customer (KYC) Specialists - located in Copenhagen, Singapore, Hamburg and Herndon (USA).

Job Responsibility:

  • Drive process and efficiency initiatives, including IT and automation of compliance processes
  • Collaborate with business functions and the global export control network in Airbus to ensure compliant business operations
  • Analyze and validate Customer End Use Statements
  • Screen and approve customers for Export Control and KYC compliance and risk evaluation
  • Conduct enhanced due diligence for higher-risk clients based on various considerations (geopolitical, sanctions, etc.)
  • Develop business processes and conduct awareness training to maintain high export control standards
  • Analyze orders, deliveries & customer profiles to proactively guide the business on best practice and optimization

Requirements:

  • Degree in Legal/Compliance, Business Administration, or similar
  • Experience in Compliance KYC screening of customers
  • Knowledge of US, EU, and National export control laws, sanctions & embargoes
  • Proficiency in standard tools mandatory for the job (e.g., Compliance Screening software)
  • Familiar with industrial logistics operations and customer support
  • English language skills at negotiation level (fluent, both verbal and written)
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and well-structured, with high professional integrity and ethical standards
  • Capacity to challenge and influence, with a hands-on, structured, and business-oriented approach

  • Forensic Investigations: Request and audit deal files for KYC evidence, signatures, and non-export agreements
  • correlate internal records with OSINT and vehicle history reports
  • Policy Enforcement: Assess violations against the Export & Reseller Policy, calculate penalties/chargebacks, and recommend program eligibility impacts
  • External Liaison: Coordinate with the CBSA and other authorities on export inquiries through the appropriate Legal and Compliance channels
  • Communication & Reporting: Draft formal non-compliance letters and author comprehensive monthly/quarterly reports on financial impacts and identity theft indicators
  • Systems Innovation: Partner with IT/Data teams to initiate the design of simple AI/automation rules for watchlists and pattern alerts
  • Remediation: Track all cases to closure, validating that corrective actions have been completed and documented in the central repository (BPIM)
