To provide the delivery of out of hours support to women living in our specialist refuge accommodation, specifically for women exploited within the sex industry and affected by Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and/or Sexual Violence (VAWDASV). To support with the management of building safety and security.
Job Responsibility:
Provide delivery of out of hours support to women living in specialist refuge accommodation
Support with management of building safety and security
Work with those in accommodation in an empowering and engaging manner
Undertake support work in line with support plan, needs or risk assessment and safety plan
Assist in planning and delivery of activities for women
Provide emotional support to exploited women
Complete daily welfare checks
Collect post or parcels and distribute
Support residents to abide by house expectations and agreements
Support residents to keep living areas clean and risk free
Turn around rooms when women move on
Ensure communal areas are kept clean and risk free
Take incoming telephone calls
Manage incidents/emergencies within accommodation
Ensure food stock, linen stock etc are replenished
Occasionally assist colleagues in event of incident/emergency in another project
Liaise with 2nd and 3rd Tier buddy
Ensure professionals coming into accommodation are supervised and sign confidentiality agreements
Carry out and record health and safety checks and property checks
Complete fire drills and follow evacuation procedures
Ensure first aid boxes are stocked
Identify repairs or maintenance issues
Carry out administrative duties
Communicate and email handover of each shift
Keep clear records and correspondence trails
Work in partnership with other agencies
Demonstrate and promote charities ethos, vision and values
Work within organisations Policies and Procedures
Participate in team meetings, supervisions, clinical supervisions, and away days
Attend training
Requirements:
Ability to travel independently and in a timely manner
Must be female (Exempt under the Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1)
