Job Description

The Expert Scrum Master role at DB Global Technology involves facilitating agile ceremonies, mentoring teams, and driving continuous improvement in agile processes. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in a Scrum Master role, a university degree in computer science, and certifications in Scrum or Agile methodologies are preferred. Job Responsibility

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies, through a clear understanding of the aim of each ceremony, taking corrective measures as required to ensure they are effective
  • Help the agile team to continuously improve the effectiveness of their incremental delivery of value to clients & stakeholders by monitoring agile team metrics including velocity, Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) and team health while at the same time identifying inefficiencies in agile team operation and removing impediments to the agile team's progress
  • Advise, facilitate, mentor and coach agile team members and stakeholders
  • Understand the context of teams supported including strategic targets, delivery targets, structure, agile framework(s), constraints, team-dynamics, mindsets, human nature and technical considerations
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaborative environment and advocate self-organization
  • Join communities and forums in order to view influencing at work, and to improve your communication skills across a larger audience
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and agile team to ensure a healthy prioritized product backlog
  • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to continuously improve the agile process

Requirements

  • University degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
  • At least 5 years of Scrum Master experience or in a similar role
  • Expert in Scrum, Scaled Agile processes and related techniques, derived from leading agile teams in different environments
  • Comfortable offering guidance and leadership, both individually and at team levels
  • Structured and with strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Passionate about agile values, coaching and supporting people to embrace changes to their way of working
  • Continuous improvement mindset and dedication to finding new ways of working
  • Put the needs of the entire team before that of the individual and helping others perform to the best of their abilities (Servant Leadership)
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, emotionally intelligent, open-minded and collaborative
  • Ability to recognize the challenges for management in transitioning to agile ways of working
  • Found opportunities in previous teams to increase return on investment, reducing costs and saving time for the team
  • Ability to connect the key elements of the relevant product technology, architecture, and delivery processes with agile process and practices
  • Able to work in a global multi-cultural environment
