Expert presales Engineer (AV & Physical Security) for Giza Systems in Cairo, Egypt. The role involves designing technical solutions, acting as a consultant, preparing proposals, analyzing competitors, and contributing to the offerings portfolio.
Job Responsibility:
Designs highly technical solutions for the entire integrated solution components
Identifies the potential supplier(s) list for the provided solution(s)
Acts as a consultant/advisor for the salesperson and client in the complex technical issues and conducts presentations when required
Reviews the technical components of the proposals ensuring the efficient integration of all configured solutions before submission to the sales team for final compilation
Prepares technical write-up and associated drawings that describe the solution and highlight the advantages of the proposed solution
Studies the available solutions of the competitors to be able to provide the optimum solution emphasizing our strong points and hiding our weak points
Prepares technological trends analysis reports & new solution coverage report
Participates in customer meetings aimed to describe/discuss the proposed solution and highlight advantages over competitors
Ensures the review of the technical aspect of the Project implementation plan prepared by the Project Managers ensuring it is achievable and within the set time frame
Contributes to the regular preparation and update of the offerings Portfolio
Communicates with Sales, PMs and Technical teams to gather insights and information on different aspects such as clients’ needs and projects challenges which can be an added value to the offerings portfolio or changes in proposal
Assists in educating the Account Management Team on the basic technicalities and functionality of new offerings to guide them in identifying leads within the assigned sectors
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics & Communication) or Computer Science
10 + years of experience, including 3-5 years of experience in Presales included experience in Africa & Middle east region
Excellent communications and presentations skills
Very good negotiations skills
Very good command of English language
Very good usage of Microsoft office products
Proficient in engaging with customers to gather and analyze their business and technical requirements related to enterprise networking, data center networks, unified communications, and collaboration technologies
Ability to recommend and implement collaboration platforms and technologies, including Cisco Webex, IP Telephony, video conferencing, and Contact Center solutions
Skilled in preparing comprehensive technical documentation, including proposals, Bills of Materials (BoMs), high- and low-level designs, compliance matrices, and solution architecture
Experience in conducting technical presentations in collaboration with sales and vendor teams
Proven ability in Design and presales supports for meeting rooms, control rooms, video walls, digital signage, and unified communication systems
Ensure AV solutions are scalable, interoperable, and aligned with industry best practices
Proven ability in Design and Presales engineering activities in CCTV, VMS, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Perimeter Security systems
Proficient in assisting with RFP/RFQ responses, pricing strategies, solution positioning, and design validation
Strong understanding of network protocols, VoIP technologies, and video collaboration solutions
Familiarity with network design and sizing/configuration tools provided by various vendors
