Expert knowledge of pre-owned and branded jewellery
Gemmology Diploma from a school recognised by FEEG and GIA
At least 5 years of experience in the jewellery trade, including manufacturing processes and quality control
Proven experience in appraising and assessing pre-owned and brand jewellery
Strong understanding of market prices and the commercial considerations of curating jewellery for online auctions
Established network of sellers and experts, with documented commercial or customer-facing experience
Fluent English and Japanese language skills, strong communication abilities, solid computer skills and diplomatic judgement in user disputes

Job Responsibility

Evaluate submitted lots by reviewing titles, descriptions and images, and provide realistic and well-supported value estimates
Curate attractive jewellery auctions that balance quality, market demand and commercial potential
Maintain high standards of transparency and fairness through professional and courteous communication with sellers
Partner with Sales to recruit and develop new sellers and diversify the selection of lots in your auctions
Collaborate with Marketing to increase bidder attention and drive engagement for your auctions
Support dispute resolution by applying expert judgement and acting as a trusted mediator when needed
