As Expert Lead Store Design you will play a pivotal role in a Startup like setting in our expanding Store division. In this high-impact role you will be shaping the future look & feel of our Stores and the resulting customer experience. You will be leading the development and built-out of our new Stores, overseeing the interior design processes as well as leading the execution via our visual merchandising team, thereby ensuring the creation of exciting Store environments and efficient processes.
Job Responsibility:
Own and continuously evolve a best-in-class, brand-specific and tech-enabled store concept, balancing architectural excellence, aesthetics and commercial performance to maximise customer experience, sales performance and space efficiency
Lead and develop a retail architect and ensure strong alignment across all stakeholders e.g. Visual Merchandising, Commercial, Expansion & Operational Excellence
Act as the end-to-end owner of all store construction projects, covering planning, permitting, tendering, execution and handover across new openings and refurbishments
Steer and manage all external partners such as general contractors, shopfitters, architects and individual trades, ensuring high-quality execution, timelines, cost control and compliance
Ensure on-time, on-design and on-budget delivery of all Stores projects through structured project governance, risk management and hands-on issue resolution
Drive the integration of industry trends, materials, technologies and sustainability standards into the store concept and project execution
Lead by example by fostering a high-performance, collaborative and solution-oriented culture, setting clear standards for quality, accountability and continuous improvement
Requirements:
Extensive experience (5+ years in a leadership role) in the fields of Retail Design within premium/luxury retail (ideally home & living or fashion)
A sound track record of the ability to create inspiring yet functional Retail Design, based on excellent understanding of latest and upcoming interior design & styling trends
A strategic yet hands-on mentality, with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a super fast paced and highly dynamic work environment
Excellent project management skills, particularly in balancing creativity with deadlines, process adherence and simultaneous process optimization
A high degree of leadership skills, shaping a motivational team spirit while driving performance and innovation always to the next level
High willingness to travel across Europe
Excellent German and English skills (written and spoken)
Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Word, ideally complemented by experience with common 3D tools and Asana
