Job Description

As an Expert Consultant at BCG, you will lead high-impact transformation programs, working closely with C-level clients to drive performance improvement and operational excellence. Your role will involve developing business cases, optimizing cash flow, and managing complex projects. A strong finance and consulting background is essential for success in this position.

Job Responsibility

  • Support and challenge C-level clients on high-stakes transformation agendas, including performance improvement, turnarounds, and Tech-Led business transformations
  • Support workstreams such as profitability improvement, cost programs, cash and working-capital optimization, and portfolio or footprint improvement
  • Develop fact-based, analytically robust business cases, including impact sizing, phasing, and risk assessment
  • Design, build, and run transformation and value-creation PMOs, ensuring discipline, transparency, and accountability across complex programs
  • Work side by side with client teams over longer periods (often 6–18+ months), helping them move from strategy and design to execution and sustained impact
  • Use your finance and consulting toolkit to connect P&L, balance sheet, and operational levers into coherent transformation roadmaps
  • Contribute to the build-up of BCG Transform in the Nordics, including knowledge development, practice building, and people development

Requirements

  • Strong consulting toolbox: hypothesis-driven problem solving, analytical rigor, and clear communication
  • Solid academic background in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field
  • Experience with concepts such as turnarounds, performance improvement, value creation, Tech-Led transformations, or transformation programs
  • Strong experience working with financial and operational data (P&L, cash flow, KPIs, business cases, etc.)
  • Structured, pragmatic, and execution-oriented
  • Comfortable with longer-term client engagements and high travel intensity
  • Strong presence, maturity, and ability to build trust with senior stakeholders
  • Collaborative mindset with a genuine interest in coaching and working closely with client teams
  • Previous management consulting experience is strongly preferred
